Canon EOS 7D DSLR Camera Price: The Canon EOS 7D is an 18.0 effective megapixel APS-C crop CMOS digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) that is aimed towards professional users. It is capable of recording 1080p HD video at 24p, 25p and 30p with drop frame timing. The Canon 7D is made for speed, with dual DIGIC 4 chips for faster processing of large 14-bit files, as well as keep up with the shutter’s 8-frame-per-second top speed. The sensor has been tweaked to enable such speed, with an 8-channel readout to more quickly draw the image off the sensor. The Canon EOS 7D’s shutter mechanism is rated at 150,000 cycles, and is the same design used by the 1D-series of Canon digital SLRs.
Dear Lifehacker, I have been the proud owner of a Canon 7D camera for the last few years, and have some nice lenses to boot — a 24-70mm Canon L lens, a 30mm Sigma prime, and a 50mm f/1.8 Canon prime. But I'd like to upgrade. I'm eyeing off the Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras, but I don't have the money to just go out and buy something off the shelf. So I was wondering: what if I trade my camera in? Or should I sell it as second-hand on a forum somewhere? Thanks, Time For An Upgrade
